STUDY OF LABOR FROM BANJAR ORIGINAL ETHNIC DUKUN BERANAK ON HEALTH ANTHROPOLOGY PERSPECTIVE

ABSTRACT
Banjar Ethnic is the natives who inhabit most parts of South Kalimantan, one of them in the Banjar district. Most of Banjar ethnic communities using traditional medicine practice by someone who considered tribal elders or are capable of treating a variety of health problems. Health behavior problems that still occur are the election of labor with the dukun beranak (TBA) by public aid Banjar Ethnic which either have the economic capacity of middle, upper middle, low and high education. The role of TBAs in the process of pregnancy and childbirth are closely linked to local culture and customs. Multidisciplinary approach in solving the above issues can not only by medical science alone, but also in terms of the anthropological analysis in the field of health called Health Anthropology. This research is to assess TBA is action taken in assisting deliveries in Banjar Ethnic, South Kalimantan. This study is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach with in-depth interviews using an interview guide, observation and use of documents.The study was conducted in the village in Banjar Regency fence with research subjects all TBAs still practice up to 2015 found 6 people. Sampling using Non-Probability Sampling with TBAs criteria considered most knowledgeable with what the researchers expected and did not cooperate with health workers. found as many as 2 TBA. Results and conclusion is the action taken TBA Banjar ethnic divides into action
before, during and after the delivery process.
